The gay rights movement of the mid-70s caused Los Angeles artist Bill Rangel to commit to showing his life uncensored in his paintings. The principles of that endless struggle are evident throughout his lifelong body of artwork. Forty-five years later, anti-gay bills are still getting passed into law.
